NEW YORK, UNITED STATES - JANUARY 19: A screen shows the national debt clock after the US hit its debt limit and the Treasury started using âextraordinary measures❠to avoid default on January 19, 2023, in New York, United States. US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen urged Congress to suspend or raise the debt limit to avoid default on any obligation of the government, and said the countryâs outstanding debt is projected to reach the statutory limit beginning Thursday, which was raised to almost $31.4 trillion on Dec. 16, 2021. On Thursday’s Mark Levin Show, what the Democrats and RINOs are doing to your children and grandchildren with our national debt is immoral, selling out their futures and future generations to a grim existence.  The Republicans that joined with Democrats to pass the omnibus spending bill declared war on you and your future generations who will be burdened with taxes and debt. House Republicans have said that they are going to stand up to the American Marxists and their surrogates, because that’s what this battle over spending and borrowing and raising the debt ceiling is about. This battle about to take place is a battle over morality and the civil society, stealing money from the future and redistributing wealth that does not even exist.  Also, Democrat media outlets like CNN are going after White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre because she isn’t as good of a liar as Jen Psaki and isn’t doing a good job defending the Biden in his classified document scandal. The Biden family is bought and paid for by one foreign entity after another, and it needs to be investigated because the coverup is in full force.  Later, it’s concerning when Republicans talk like Marxists and trash pharmaceutical companies as a group. They should be applauded for their breakthroughs in medical science and progress being made in cancer and Alzheimer’s and other diseases. This research doesn’t come from government – it comes from the private sector. It’s one thing to have companies advancing the woke agenda, but we also have patriotic companies too. Finally, Donald Trump Jr. joins Mark to discuss Joe Biden’s response to his classified document scandal and the hypocrisy of the left.

Hour 1 Segment 1

There’s a lot swirling around around us. But I want to talk about this debt in this spending. And explain how immoral what the Democrats and the left and the rhinos like Susan Collins, are doing to your children and your grandchildren in this country. We’ll get to the other stuff. But this battle is not just over facts and not just over finances. That would be enough, but it’s over morality. Can we simultaneously love our children but betray their generation and generations yet to come? Among the least acknowledged facts of American modernity is the extent to which parents acting in their own familial capacity naturally guard their young children from threat in peril to the point of risking their own physical and economic security in extreme cases. But when acting as part of the political and governing community and particularly the people on the left, that is the ruling generation. Many of these same parents, wittingly and unwittingly joined with other parents in tolerating, if not enthusiastically championing, disadvantageous and even grievous public policies. That jeopardized not only their children’s future, but the welfare of successive generations. They’re accepted norms of behavior, a moral order born of experience and knowledge, instinct and faith, teaching and reason. A love and passion that provide definition for and boundaries between right and wrong, good and evil, fairness and injustice applicable to families and societies alike. So a harmony of virtuous interests informed by tried and true traditions, customs, values and institutions, and cultivated within families in the larger community, preserves and improves the human condition. One individual at a time, one generation to the next. Broadly speaking, this is the civil society. Edmund Burke, a great political thinker who was born in Ireland and moved to England, where he became a prominent statesman in the 18th century, explained that the civil society relies on an intergenerational continuum of the past, the living and the unborn. He wrote that as the end of such a partnership cannot be obtained in many generations, it becomes a partnership not only between those who are living, but between those who are dead and those hard to be born. In fact, Burke went further, warning that those who forsake the intergenerational continuum condemn themselves, their children and future generations to a grim existence. Here’s what he said. One of the first and most leading principles on which the Commonwealth and the laws are consecrated is less the temporary possessors and life renters in it, unmindful of what they have received from their ancestors or what is due to their posterity, should act as if they were the entire masters, that they should not think it among their rights to cut off the entail or commit waste on the inheritance by destroying at their pleasure the whole original fabric of society hazarding to leave to those who come after them. A ruin. A ruin. Instead of the habitation. And teaching these successors has little to respect their contrivances. If they had themselves respected the institutions of their forefathers. In other words, the arrogance of an existing generation. That would ignore past generations and destroy future generations. Because they claim to be the masters of the world. To embrace the moral order as parents nurturing their children, yet to abandon that moral order as a member of the ruling generation, thereby contributing to predictably deleterious public policies with prospectively calamitous outcomes, is a decadence that leads to unstable and potentially oppressive or even tyrannical conditions, which in the end degrade and disassemble the civil society and consume their children’s generation and generations beyond. Reformation and recovery may be possible, but difficult and complicated, and typically only after the extraction of an enormous human toll. It’s true. Before. Burke. Charles de Montesquieu. A French philosopher whose life predated the American Revolution, but who was hugely influential. When the Constitution’s framers. Also wrote of the disastrous aftermath of a civil societies abandonment, he said. When that virtue ceases, ambition enters those hearts, think kind of minute and avarice enters them. All desires change their objects that which one used to live one lives no longer. One was free. Under the laws, one wants to be free against them. Each citizen is like a slave who has escaped from his master’s house. What was a maxim is now called severity. What was a rule is now called constraint. What was vigilance is now called fear. Their frugality, not the desire to possess, is avarice. Formerly, the goods of individuals made up the public Treasury. The public Treasury is now become the patrimony of the individuals. The Republic has a cast of Husk, and its strength is no more than the power of a few citizens and the license of all in modern America. The unraveling of the civil society has been subtly persistent, but is now intensifying. Evidence of rising utopian statism, the allure of political demagogues and self-appointed masterminds peddling abstractions and fantasies in pursuit of a non-existence paradise cycle society and the concomitant accretion of governmental power in an increasingly authoritarian and centralized federal leviathan. It abounds. The ruling generation’s governing policies are already forecast to diminish the quality of life of future generations. Among other things, witness the massive welfare and entitlement state, which is concurrently expanding and imploding, and the brazen abandonment of constitutional firewalls and governing limitations. If not appropriately and expeditiously ameliorated. The effects will be dire and the ruling generation knows it. It is pastime and therefore imperative. But the ruling generation, our generation, acquaints itself with James Madison’s uncomplicated cautionary insight written to bolster the proposed Constitution’s ratification at the state convention. I’m talking about Federalist 51. Madison explain the essential balance between the civil society and governmental restraint, he said. But what is government itself but the greatest of all reflections of human nature? If men were angels, no government would be necessary. If angels were to govern, man, neither external nor internal controls on government would be necessary. In framing a government which is to be administered by men over men. Their great difficulty lies in this. You must first enable the government to control the government. And in the next place oblige it to control itself. Why do so many loving parents, as part of the ruling generation, abandoned the civil society for the growing tyranny of a voracious central government that steals their children’s future, that’s condemning their own children and unborn generations to a dangerously precarious and unstable environment. Despite a large majority acknowledging the national decline for which the blame, they blame politicians. There are a number of possibilities. For example, language itself can contribute to the problem of words. Generation and ruling generation and future generations could be imprecise and for some elusive. They can be thought of as merely theoretical and conceptual or non-reality. So the growth of numerous offshoots intended to provide context and clarification. Baby Boomers, Generation X, Millennials, Generation Z, etc.. Nonetheless, despite inexact nomenclature, there are difficult differences within the various age groups, some big others inconsequential. Just that there are similarities and shared interests. The psychology also makes it easier for parents talking about general. Generalize groups and generations to downplay or ignore the longer term and broader ruinous effects of contemporary public policies and reject any role, any role on themselves or responsibility in contributing to them. It is a contradiction that usually originates with governing elites and statists who relentlessly reinforce and encourage it. They self-righteously advocate public policies that oblige future generations, labor and resources to their own real and perceived benefit. Empowering governmental abuse via social engineering and economic depredation. They disguise the delinquency as compassionate and premised on good intentions, often insisting their objectives will improve the prospects of those most severely burdened by them. But children. And the masterminds tactics are disarming, if not seductive. Where the utopianism is advanced through gradualism, it can deceive an unsuspecting population, which is largely content and passive. It is sold as reforming and improving the existent societies imperfections and weaknesses without imperiling its basic nature. And under these conditions, it is mostly ignored, dismissed or tolerated. But much of the citizenry and by much of the citizenry and celebrated by some transformation is deemed innocuous, well-intentioned, perhaps constructive, but not a dangerous trespass on fundamental liberties. Many in the ruling generation have themselves become entrapped and economically unsustainable governmental schemes in which they are beneficiaries and reliant on public programs such as unfunded entitlements to which they’ve contributed significantly to supposed trust funds and around which they have organized their retirement years. They also find self deluding, solace and the politically expedient and deceitful representations by the ruling class, which dismisses evidence of its own diversion and depletion of trust, funds its overall maladministration as the invention of doomsayers and scaremongers. What parents and the ruling generation owe their children and generations of FA are the rebirth of a vibrant civil society and the restoration of vigorous constitutional republic, along with the essential and simultaneous diminution of the federal government’s sweeping, expanding scope of power. And its subsequent containment. If the ruling generation fails, this admittedly complicated but central task. Which grows evermore difficult and urgent with the passage of time and the federal leviathan hard line entrenchment, then the very essence of the American experiment will not survive as such. It can and will be rightly said that this ruling generation, we betrayed our posterity. We betrayed our posterity. This is in the first chapter, and he goes on the plunder and deceit. First chapter, Plunder and Deceit. Why did I read that? Because it relates to this battle over spending and borrowing. And raising the debt ceiling. You Republicans. Who joined the Democrats. Your passion. That omnibus bill declared war on your children, your grandchildren, and future generations. They knew that they were adding at least another trillion dollars to the national debt, which is now $31.5 trillion. It is virtually impossible for your children and grandchildren to dig out from under this debt. It will be burdening them the rest of their lives. The interest rates, the lack of capital, the lack of economic progress, impoverishment. That is what this battle is for and against. The Republicans in the House have said they are going to stand up to what the Senate have done. They’re going to stand up to Biden and the Democrats. They are going to stand up. To the American Marxists and their surrogates, and they do so to save the country and to save your family and your children and your children’s children. That’s what this battle is about. I’ll be right back.

Hour 1 Segment 2

Over the spending limit. The debt limit is a battle over morality. It’s a battle over the civil society. We can’t just ignore this anymore. But rub our hands or scratch our heads or whine about it. The laws of economics apply to the United States. They apply to our Treasury. They apply to our currency. They apply to your children and your grandchildren. And generations yet born. We are literally stealing money from the future, money that hasn’t even been earned yet, hasn’t even been created yet. We are redistributing wealth that does not exist. So the Democrat Party could rearrange our society so the Democrat Party could destroy our country and the Susan Collins’s and the others would go along with them. The Mitch McConnell so would go along with them. So this is a morality battle.

Hour 1 Segment 3

Today, ladies and gentlemen, even though the Constitution talks about a limited federal government. Today, the private sector serves the policy, political and economic demands of the government, of the politicians. That’s what the tax code is about. That’s what the expansion of the Internal Revenue Service is about. That these decisions are being made, especially by the Democrats and the McConnell fights. So they use serve their interests. You serve their politics, you serve their reelection efforts, You find some bridge and po donc wherever. The reason they have earmarks, over 4000 of them. Is to featherbed their election opportunities. You are the servants. Ah, the federal bureaucracy. How dare you close them down or cut their budgets or limit their salaries? You are the servants of this massive, ubiquitous leviathan. Whether you like it or not, they pass a spending bill called an omnibus bill in violation of their own traditional procedures. Not one bill at a time. Covering. A few subjects at a time, but it is so massive they know that you want to read it and it’s so massive. They know that they won’t read it. It doesn’t matter what they know, what Mitch McConnell knows, what the Democrats know, what Joe Biden knows, what Susan Collins knows, what they all know inside. It is a drain of your private resources, your intellectual and physical labor from you and your family to them. And just like Marxists and I include the Republicans, they camouflage their abuse of your income. With promises. And it’s self-righteousness. Whether it’s class warfare, whether it’s racism or ageism or any other ism. The private sector now exists as the tool of the government. You can buy things if they say you can buy things. Gas combustion engine cars. They don’t want you buying that anymore. Soon it will be gas stoves. Soon it’ll be far more as they monitor how much you drive so you can pay taxes to them. On the amount you drive. Obama used to say. You couldn’t really be on your own without roads and tunnels and so forth. So you need government. Because Obama was an idiot. Still is eat him. Even the great Adam Smith when he wrote Wealth of Nations in 1776. He talked about a minimum level of taxation. For such things as infrastructure and cohesion in the civil society. But not redistribution. Redistribution of wealth. Not confiscatory taxation. And when it comes to a decision between you and the government, the government wins. You are simply an individual, a selfish individual who has enough. What are you complaining about? Just keep working so that you can subsidize their agenda and you can subsidize their activists and you can subsidize their voters. So the private sector exists to serve the government. And so here we are again at a point where some people are raising concerns about the fact that we can’t keep raising the debt ceiling. To pay for these. Outrageous. Budgets. And these budgets are passed in violation of the constitutional system that was intended by the framers. These budgets are passed, so you can’t know what’s in them or the people who vote for them don’t know what’s in them. They just know there’s a lot of money and they want some of it. And that comes out of your grocery bills, that comes out of your clothing bills, your heating bills, that comes out of your bills when you purchase any kind of equipment or anything, for that matter. It’s called inflation. There’s something called modern monetary policy. It’s utterly and completely made up something that Bernie Sanders talks about and Mitch McConnell obviously believes in. He’s been in the leadership 20 years. He’s been the Republican leader in the Senate for 16 years, is in fights, spending in any significant way. He’s not joining the House Republicans. The House Republicans are fighting Mitch McConnell as well as the Democrats and 18 of his tax and spend liberal Republicans. Because let’s be clear. You’ve got almost half of the Senate Republicans who are tax and spend liberals, as Reagan would call them, tax and spend liberals. Murkowski. Romney. Portman. McConnell. Cornyn. Collins. Tell us. SULLIVAN And the list goes on and on and on. Used to be said, you know, I’m not a I’m a social liberal, but a fiscal conservative. Remember that crowd? I’m in that crowd. They’re not even fiscal conservatives because they’re not conservative. At all. This isn’t an intellectual debate. This isn’t an analytical debate. As I started the program, this is a moral debate. These politicians are abusing your family. They are abusing your children and your grandchildren. They’re destroying the future of America. They are spending money today that does not exist. That’s why they have to increase the debt limit. They are passing omnibus bills. So you don’t know what’s in it. You don’t know what’s in it. And it’s going to come crashing down when the bills come due on the heads of your little babies and your grandchildren and generations yet born. They are spending wealth that has not been created. They are borrowing money without a creditor. They’re just printing it. And they make their promises, Oh, climate change and all the rest of it. It’s heresy to what it is. Too soon. What they’re doing. It’s immoral what they’re doing, just as they brainwash your children in the classrooms on sexuality. They hate your family. To attack your faith to promote racism. To have contempt for capitalism. As they take over the the raising of your children. And they often do it in secret. These are the people who are in charge, and many of them are Republicans. Many of them are Republicans. I’ve spent a long, rich 20 years, at least 15 years fighting this. MCCONNELL Exposing this. MCCONNELL When most of my colleagues in this business wouldn’t touch him with a ten foot pole. Most of my colleagues in this business, not all, but too damn many are followers. They don’t only think for themselves, TV, radio, whatever. They want to be called conservatives. Most of them are populists or nationalists or God knows what. But they don’t lead. They don’t fight. In my humble opinion, no fans, just as what it is. You have some young guys out there with a couple of columns who really think they’re cool. Same thing. They don’t. Lead. They’re not that sharp or wise, but they write as mundane. But this is a battle we’re in now. And I would ask them. To really sharpen their thinking. To really sharpen their thinking. I’ll be right back.

Hour 1 Segment 4

Fine. Just spoke on the documents scandal. We’ll be getting to that next hour. We should have some audio also. CNN does its usual lousy job of reporting because in my interview of President Donald Trump and among other things, it says that when Trump says they were negotiating over the documents, they were doing fine and then they criminalized it. CNN and two professors said that it’s not a matter of negotiation. That’s not what the Presidential Records Act say. The Presidential Records Act says that these documents belong to the government. They missed the point completely, but you would expect them to, because after all this, CNN, the constipated news network, after every administration, things don’t go as cleanly as some would have you expect or suspect. Look at Joe Biden for six years, eight Obama administration documents. Look at Obama. He took 30 million pages of documents with him to a warehouse that had been a former furniture store. Despite the fact that the National Archives said that they took control them, but initially they didn’t. Or look at the other presidents. Clinton, the secretaries of state, Hillary Clinton, and I could go on and on and on. Some presidents actually think that some of the materials belong to them. And so you have a negotiation process or what have you. So it’s not a matter of it being in the law. It’s the way it plays out over time. There are discussions about where to put the documents and should they be in the library, the presidential library? Should they be somewhere else? Should the National Archives put it in its massive warehouse somewhere in Maryland or whatever? They usually build ships for president. CNN didn’t ask that for former presidents. Why did the National Archives refuse to do that in Trump’s case? Because former presidents have a right to have access to classified information, ladies and gentlemen, not vice presidents. But they refused to build a skiff for Donald Trump. Why is that? We learned that from Jim Trusty last Sunday on Life, Liberty and Levin, making it more difficult, of course, for Trump to even look at classified material. So they set him up. I don’t care what two bonehead moronic professors have to say. This isn’t a clown show. This is real life. Alisyn CAMEROTA to White House economic adviser Cecilia Ramos on CNN today. Got to go. Is there any way for President Biden to raise the ceiling without Congress? You know, this is a Congress’s responsibility. These are bills that were passed by Congress, and it is Congress’s responsibility and obligation to raise the debt ceiling. What kind of a question is that? Does Allison Cammarata not know that tax and spending bills come out of the House of Representatives? And that the president isn’t an emperor who has the power to raise the debt limit himself. As for Cecilia Rouse, she says this is Congress’s response, but it came out of Congress. Let’s be very, very clear about this. This is the responsibility of the Democrats who control the House prior prior to the seating of the Republicans as the majority. And it is the responsibility of the Democrats in the Senate and it is the responsibility of 18 or 19 Republicans in the Senate led by Mitch McConnell. They did this to America. They put America in this position. They knew they were going to put America in this position and they did it anyway. And they’re daring the Republican majority to stop them. They did something that’s never been done before. With the help of Mitch McConnell and his friendly, big liberal spending Republicans. They passed a spending bill for 2023 with massive borrowing which necessitated and necessitates an increase in the debt ceiling after an election occurred when they knew the Republicans would be in control of the House. But it’s the Republicans fault when they didn’t even have power in the House, you understand, because they don’t want to go along. They don’t want to go along. There is an easy way to fix this cut spending. But McConnell refuses. Biden refuses. Schumer refuses. So should there be any damage done? It’s on them. Now I know the lying, corrupt, radical left scumbags who call themselves journalists out there. I know they’ll carry the water. They’ll carry the water for their friends in Washington because that’s what they do. There’s very few honest among them fact fewer and fewer by the day. And when you have lame brains like Alisyn CAMEROTA, is there any way for the president to raise the ceiling without Congress? That will be very cool, you know. A moron. Do you understand? Your children and grandchildren are going to be affected by this. She didn’t care. This isn’t immoral to them. Power could never be immoral. I’ll be right back.
