The second and third generation of Felds buckled to the Left in banning elephants at their own circus a few years ago. As I said when that happened, that will be the end of the circus. It was a disastrous decision. The elephants are loved and adored by their very humane trainers, who treat the elephants like family and are with them for many years, despite what PETA (who kills thousands of dogs) says. They are very protective of the elephants; they are well fed, groomed, and receive top veterinary care. They’re also monitored closely by local, state, and federal agencies as well as responsible outside groups. I say this as an animal lover and activist. The elephants were loved and protected by people who lived with them everyday. Another American tradition killed by pressure from left-wing extremists and corporate PC.
