Senator Jerry Moran ran the National Republican Senatorial Committee when it was trying to destroy Tea Party candidates in the primaries last election cycle. He was appointed by Mitch McConnell and did all his dirty work. Tea Party and other conservative activists ought not forget his role in Mississippi, Kansas, and other state primaries. Indeed, even when it comes to preventing another liberal from receiving a lifetime appointment to the Supreme Court, he initially equivocated about blocking any consideration of the Garland nomination from the get-go. I would discourage conservatives and others in Kansas from voting for him. (Now, let’s see if most of the so-called anti-Establishment voices out there, few of whom have actually been anti-Establishment, oppose Moran’s re-election as well.)
