New York's primary could be Trump's stepping stone or stumbling block toward the Republican presidential nomination, making what has been an empty electoral exercise suddenly relevant. On Tuesday’s Mark Levin show, The Republican primary system is not rigged, but Donald Trump insists that it is. He sounds like an entitled liberal demanding delegates from Colorado without having put in the work to win them. The delegate appointment rules in most of these primaries have been established for nearly a century. In Colorado, for example, the rules for this primary process have been in place since 1912. Has the system been corrupt for 100 years? No. This has never been a pure democracy, we have a federalist system and the states determine the rules for their primaries. It’s the candidate’s job to navigate those rules. After that, you have two camps, the progressive populists and the Republican Whig party which protects Mitch McConnell. What America needs is to unleash the economy with Reagan conservatives and stop the growth of the federal bureaucracy. In addition, Bernie Sanders and liberals’ entire goal is to destroy society and replace it with a utopia. Sanders’ latest victim of attack is the Walton family and Walmart who creates many jobs for the middle class. This is unlike Sanders who claims to be for the middle class yet has never created a job. What Sanders is really angry about is that the government doesn’t control Walmart. Also, the Establishment may get its way with Rule 40B which allows delegates who are bound on the first ballot to show a preference for a secondary candidate. This preference could give a candidate who doesn’t meet the 8 states majority threshold enough states to qualify.
