On Monday’s Mark Levin Show, we bring you the BEST OF Mark Levin. Mark talks about the history of the Bill of Rights and how the Amendments came out from the Founding Fathers. He also discusses how the Founders were most worried about an all powerful Executive Branch – because they had just fought a Revolutionary War against one from Britain. The reason there’s checks and balances and different branches is to keep watch over one another, but especially with the Executive. What we are seeing now is that President Obama thinks he is beyond the Constitution, that he can issue executive orders especially now on the latest showdown – the issue of gun control. The President can’t and doesn’t have the power to diminish any of the Amendments in the Bill of Rights. Suddenly the argument being made from the left is that it is a Bill of Needs, not a Bill of Rights – as if we don’t need something, then it doesn’t matter if we have it or not. This goes against everything the Founders intended.
