McConnell will get along great with Biden. They’re old buddies, creatures of the Beltway, and are big believers in big government and big spending. McConnell milked the Trump administration for everything he could get, including policy favorable to Kentucky and his wife’s appointment as Transportation Secretary. Regardless of what McConnell might say in front of the cameras, he’s much more comfortable with Biden than Trump. McConnell also went to war against the Tea Party for opposing his handpicked candidates for the Senate and his big-government agenda. He served in the Ford administration early in his career, and was a very liberal Republican. Today, he’s an unprincipled wheeler-dealer. And his speech today is being praised by the usual media outlets that despise Trump and his supporters and voters. Of course, in the end they despise him too, but he’s too much an egomaniac to realize it. He said a few days ago that he wanted to eradicate the Trump movement. McConnell has been the GOP Senate leader for too long. How ironic that Trump helped get him re-elected.
