On Wednesday’s Mark Levin Show, It’s not controversial to support due process and justice. A new video emerges in the case of Jacob Blake showing a scuffle with police before making his way to the car. Rioting, looting, and arson in Kenosha put people on alert to defend their life and property. This also gives room for other radicals that are not leftists to come in and take the law into their own hands. The insurrection act must be triggered and the individuals causing all of this havoc must be rounded up and removed from society. Then, Jacob Blake’s mother, Julia Jackson, publicly denounced the rioting, looting, and arson in Wisconsin as “disgusting” and was upset that it was being done in his name. Joe Biden made a video echoing her sentiments since he hasn’t spoken out about the violence himself he relied on Julia Jackson’s comments to end the violence. Later, LeBron James is launching a multi-million dollar campaign to recruit poll workers in urban areas. Interestingly, LeBron’s goal is to combat systemic racism at the polls, however, it’s the Democrats that control these urban cities with mostly minority populations. Afterward, sportscaster Stephen A. Smith calls in to discuss the Kenosha shooting. Smith argued that police are quicker to shoot black people while attempting an arrest than they are non-blacks who are subdued and arrested without incident.

Rough transcript of Hour 1

Hour 1 Segment 1

Terrible, terrible hurricane. Very powerful Category 4 right now headed for. The shores of Texas and Louisiana. Now, I can just tell you this. We’ve a home in Florida that’s built the two hundred ten mile an hour wind resistant. Most people do not. And I would get the hell out of there if this hurricane were heading towards our area. And so I just wanna encourage people who listen to this program and live in those areas to get out because it’s going to hit around midnight. And if you plan to leave by then, it’s too late and it’s dark and you won’t see anything anyway. It’s actually getting quite late. So now’s the time. Just my own little public service from my own experience. Kenosha, Wisconsin. Jacob Blake. My friend Stephen a Smith wants to come on the program later today to talk about this and related matters, and I said, okay, let’s do it. No problem at all. Very simple. In my case, I’m for humanity and I’m for justice. But I’m not for mob rule. A mob justice. I’m for actual justice. And really, everybody ought to believe in this, especially individuals. Who claimed that? There is no due process. Well, there should be due process for everybody. Whether a minority accused of robbing a store or whether a police officer. The videos part of the evidence. But as we see here, there was video and then there was more video. And so it’s not a matter of taking sides. And yet I watched ESPN for a half hour, 40minutes today, and there was a lot of talk about this and the assumption was. Then any discussion about due process? Let’s get all the fat or we kept hearing there was a man shot in the back seven times. Well, he was shot seven times. But there was no explanation of anything. Again, it’s not a defense. But I think we owe it to our audiences to tell them more and plus. The video shows that there’s more. When you’re reaching in a headlock, I’ll discuss this with my friend Stephen A. And here’s an interesting take on whether the NBA should. Some of these teams should be striking or whether they should be playing. Very, very interesting. That’s an hour three. Now, I’ve told you behind this microphone that I was very, very concerned. When you have rioting and looting and arson, particularly when outsiders come in like ATF and Black Lives Matter. People are going to defend themselves. People are going to defend their homes, particularly where there are that you are permitted to own weapons. But even beyond that. You can also encourage crazies to come into your community and not just on the left. There’s going to be pushback of one sort or another. And that’s exactly what happened in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Now two people are dead, one is injured, and even that is not exactly clear on what took place. You know, Blaze, the Blaze TV, the Blaze media. We’ve had a correspondent in Kenosha, Wisconsin, for the last three or four days. The Daily Caller. The guy by the name of Richie, he used to work on my program to live on TV. He’s been there too. These are brave young men and brave women. Who are going into these places and taking video? With The New York Times, The Washington Post, CNN, MSNBC and others dare not go. And so you have people commenting. And by the way, ESPN to your people commenting on these things. Based on little pieces of information and so forth, I interviewed. The Blaze TV correspondent. Eli, he’s a terrific guy. Now we’re going to hear that tomorrow on LIVE ON TV. And he spoke with this 17 year old before there was any shooting. And even though they’ve been efforts on TV to say, you know, he said he’s part of a militia and so forth and so on, when he spoke to him, there was no talk about a militia. No talk about overthrowing this. No talk about overthrowing that. He said he was there to defend people. It’s just it’s just shocking. Now, my view. The Insurrection Act ought to be triggered. The United States military first year federalized the National Guard, and if you need more, you need more and they need to round up these hoodlums. Honestly, most of whom are white, most of whom are college educated, but it doesn’t matter what they are. They need to round them up and remove them from society. That’s the only way this will stop the killing. The congressman who represents this area of Wisconsin, including Kenosha. He said on Fox last evening that. The individuals who are doing this damage and doing this riding are from outside the area. They came in from Chicago, so they’re moving around. That’s what they’re doing. They’re moving around, that’s what they’re doing. It’s very sad. And so we have efforts like this from the left wing media that really doesn’t report on anything substantive, they just do this. BuzzFeed News, the Kenosha shooting suspect was in the front row of a rally in January. Well, the man who shot Steve Scalise. He was a big Bernie Sanders supporter. You go to a rally with tens of thousands of people, you have no idea who the hell is there. When I have a book signing, I have no idea who the hell is there. But we also know that, according to one of the co-founders of Black Lives Matter. Which is an extremely violent organization. That their number one goal. And she said it was to remove Donald Trump. So this game can be play with everybody. But Ellie Hall over at BuzzFeed, this is what they do. Amber Jamison tossed Nene Nasrallah. I don’t know if it’s him or not. But it’s irrelevant to. All right. Couple of interesting things, a couple of interesting things. First of all, the Republican candidate, Melania Trump, was unbelievable. I was hanging on her every word, listening very, very carefully. So gracious, so classy. A first lady. Brilliant. Beautiful. She is able to speak five languages. She tells the immigrant story. It was mesmerizing, I thought. My wife and I were mesmerized. Absolutely terrific. And as I told you, Monday, Monday evening. And it’s funny what you hear in the as Rush calls it, the echo chamber. Mr. Producer, I said I’m not so much interested in the politicians are more interested in the common folks who are giving the talk. Remember that. All throughout radio today, I don’t listen to it. I get e-mails. You know, it’s the lobstermen. You know, it’s the Cuban guy, you know, et cetera. That’s the attorney general. It is shocking how stupid so many people are in this business. I’m just being honest with you. How incapable they are of an independent thought. But they are, of course, the ones that I listen to the most. I listen to the others, too, when I can. But they’ve been fantastic. Our buddy Chris Wallace’s, you know, this is pretty much the Trump convention. I would just remind him that the entire purpose of these conventions is to nominate the president, vice presidential candidate to the party. And Donald Trump is the president. And so it’s the Republican National Convention to nominate. The candidates for president and vice versa. So, yes, it’s basically the Trump convention. Whose house would it be? But what’s interesting about this, rather than dismissing it, is again. The tremendous job that’s been done in bringing people to speak from all walks of life in our society, all backgrounds, regardless of party. People voted for Trump. People voted against Trump in 2016. And the genius of intersperse thing this with with the president doing certain things that draw your attention to his policy positions and his issues. You know, Joe Biden spoke. That’s all he did once. Pretty much. And the fact that he was able to give a speech, he was praised left and right, all that Biden can give. Oh, my God, he would. He certainly outdid our expectations. Expectations were that as his face would be an electorate, I guess. But Donald Trump is just very. Routine, the way he’s able to do things that are really very, very compelling. Now, here’s something very interesting from CNBC. Part of the NBC umbrella of news operations, so-called. This is before. Before there is any input into the Republican convention excuse me, the Trump convention. Things are tightening up a lot in the battleground states. So CNBC looks at six of them. Arizona now Biden is at 49, Trump at 47 days before any debate. Florida, Biden said forty nine trumps at 46. Michigan Biden at 50, Trump at44. And by the way, Trump doesn’t have to win Michigan. North Carolina. Biden at 48. Trump at 47 is a big one. Pennsylvania. Biden at 49. Trump at 46. Wisconsin. Biden at 49. Trump at 44. It’s tightening a lot in the battleground states. And then when you look at the enthusiasm issue. Trump is leading in that hands down, not in this poll, but in prior polls. They don’t poll that here. And so we have more work to do. More battles ahead. North Carolina’s virtually tied 49 48. I mean, Arizona is virtually tied 49 47, Florida’s 49 46. And the more violence you see in, the more riding you see in these areas, the more people are questioning the Democrat Party. Even in Kenosha, it’s a Democrat mayor. The Democrat governor should have sent out 5000 National Guardsmen and protected that city. He did not. Remember that poll I mentioned to you last evening? The Pew Research Poll? Violent crime. Fifty nine percent of those contacted said it’s a very important issue. Very important issue. Fifty nine percent. That explains why. Joe Biden put out a video today. You know, Joe Biden looks like he’s a hostage. Doesn’t he, Mr. Producer? He actually looks like he’s a hostage. Maybe he’s a North Korean or Iranian hostage, he’s down there. Even the videos aren’t good. They’re like third class videos. But I want you to hear what Joe Biden said today, and I want to remind you, the Democratic National Committee. Nobody talked about the rioting. Nobody talked about the violence. It was all anti cop. Anti law enforcement. But the writing. And I want you to remember. That House Judiciary Committee hearing with the Democrats, none of them can. 94. None of them condemned Black Lives Matter. None of them condemned the rioting. Jerry Nadler. Said he didn’t see anything with a.. Remember that? That’s pretty shocking. Nancy Pelosi called federal law enforcement. Stormtroopers. James Clyburn called them Gestapo, and another genius on the Democrat side said they’re secret police. Well, there were no federal police. In Kenosha. And two people were killed. But I want you to hear this unbelievably cynical effort now by Biden to try get back in front of this issue. I’ll be right back

Hour 1 Segment 2

By the way, Donald Trump is closer now in these battleground states than he was four years ago, this time closer in Arizona, Florida, Michigan, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. On this CNN CNBC poll from from yesterday or today than than he was a year ago this time. Right. Here’s Joe. Well, you know what? I’m going to do this a little differently. Let’s listen to Julia Jackson shakeup Blake’s mother on CNN yesterday. Cut, forgo the destruction that that has been taking place in cities across the country and in and in Kenosha. I heard you. You speak about that. And my question is, you said that you don’t want that in Jacob’s name and neither would he. Tell me more about that, please. Absolutely not. My family and I are very hurt and. Quite frankly, disgusted and Addison’s mother. Please don’t burn up property and cause havoc and tear your own homes down in my son’s name. You shouldn’t do it. People shouldn’t do it anyway. But to use my child or any othermother and father’s child, that’s our tragedy. To react in that manner is just not acceptable. It’s not helping shake up is not helping shakeup or any other of the men or women who has suffered in these areas. This is a remarkable woman. This is a remarkable woman. And her voice will largely go unheard by a team from Black Lives Matter because they’re about a bigger goal and they’ve said it in public. I’ll be right back.

Hour 1 Segment 3

D LEMON As Fredo Cuomo calls him on CNN. John, case it. A Democrat. Markey is a Republican. I know what he says. They are. And now in the last 24hours, insisting, Joe, you got to condemn the rioting, Joe, because they see the same poll number that I see and you see and they’re going to lose a big chunk of the suburbs. And they’re going to lose a big chunk of the inner cities where polls also show minorities, particularly African-Americans, want the police and actually want more police. They don’t want them defunded. Some degree of defunding. They don’t support it. They don’t support it and for good reason. So here’s Deal Lemon on CNN last night. Telling Joe Biden, but you can’t keep ignoring the rioting and looting, you’re going to lose. Hat tip, right? Scoop. Got to go. I do think that this what you said was happening in Kenosha is a Rorschach test for the entire country. And I think this is a blind spot for Democrats. I think Democrats are ignoring this problem or hoping that it will go away and it’s not going to go away. And so unless someone comes up with a solution over the next seventy three days or 70. So how many days? 68 days. 68 days. So it’s not going to. The problem is not going to be fixed by then. But what they can do and I think maybe Joe Biden may be afraid to do it. I’m not sure. Maybe he won’t. Maybe he is. He’s got to address it. He’s got to come out and talk about it. He’s got to do a speech like Barack Obama did about race. He’s got to come out and tell people that he is going to deal with the issue of police reform in this country and that what’s happening now is happening under Donald Trump’s. No, no, no, no, no. The president the United States doesn’t control local laundry. You see the game. Don’t send in federal law enforcement. Don’t send a National Guard. Of course, he has to be asked unless he uses the Insurrection Act. And when he did send in federal law enforcement to protect federal facilities like the federal courthouse in Portland, he the president was accused of igniting this rioting. Now, de Lemon, who is nonsensical, says blame all this stuff on Trump because he’s the president. That’s their game. But anyway, go on and on Donald Trump’s watch and when he is the president, Kamala Harris is the vice president. Then they will take care of this problem. But guess what? The writing has to stop. Chris, as you know and I know it’s showing up in the polling, it’s showing up in focus groups. It is the only thing it is the only thing right now that is sticking. And the Democrats tonight stuck with that. Right. And they also stuck with the theme that you said, the Corona virus. You got Coronavirus and you have Kenosha. Mm hmm. So in other words, two fabricated issues against the president. The Coronavirus. Look, I can go through this. They’re wonderful charts out today that show the United States the mortality level is the lowest among the industrialized world. And I go on and on and on. I’ve got a right here at my fingertips. That’s the science. These are the statistics. This is the CDC, among others, with information. Okay. But that’s not where I am tonight. I’ll do that another night. John Kasich on CNN today. You see CNN now is pushing Joe Biden. Look at the polls. Look at the polls. Not because. What’s happening with these riots? Innocent people are being killed of all races. Properties are being destroyed, including small businesses. Owned by people of all races. Because at TFA and Black Lives Matter are Marxist anarchist organizations. That’s what they are. That’s what they’ve said they are. And they both have said they want to overthrow the government of the United States. Here’s John Kasich on CNN today. Cut three, go. And I believe that it is absolutely essential for the Democrats to say, while we support protesters, this violence is abhorrent and actually sets back the ability to get change. Now, we don’t know the full story in Wisconsin. These news and by the way, we don’t. And that’s one of the things that is very troubling to me. Because you’re going to hear Doc Rivers later, I’m going to play his clip and he is being celebrated all over ESPN. I am very troubled by the fact that we believe now. That an eight to 10 second video. This. This isn’t the George Floyd case. Where he was face down on the ground with a knee on his neck for eight and a half minutes. That is simply unacceptable under any circumstances. And you’re going to tell me about the fund and all that he had in his. I don’t care about that. That doesn’t matter. And unfortunately. It’s being brought up. This is different. This guy was resisting. This guy has a serious record, including with a gun and a knife. But that’s not determinative either. The only point is I’m pointing out that. When you have all these cops around and they’re trying to get you to stop her, trying to get you on the ground, we can have a discussion about the difference between the two. But apparently you can’t anywhere but here. It’s an amazing thing. Amazing thing. Go ahead. I’m perhaps a vigilante, and what we know is that there are people who show up at these protests who are who are there to designed to disrupt and give everybody a bad name. But they have to be called out. Jim, Joe Biden needs to be very, very strong on the fact that while protests are okay, that they’re a positive thing, they’re America. This violence needs to be deeply condemned and deeply condemned. Now, sooner rather than later, in my opinion. So the poll comes out that I read to you yesterday from Pew that says the American people, almost six out of 10, consider this violence to be one of the most important, very important issues of this election. And the Democrats have been on the wrong side of it. They’ve been on the wrong side of it. Not a word. During the Democratic convention and Pelosi and Clyburn and others have condemned the efforts by the president short of using the Insurrection Act, offering federal law enforcement, offering the National Guard to help quell it. And he has been attacked for that. So what’s happening now? Is that people in the suburbs. People who live in these cities. Minorities. They’ve had enough of this. They’ve had enough of this and they don’t agree and they don’t believe and they don’t support. Every time there’s a a controversy involving a police officer. That that is a blank check to start burning, looting. And harming people. And most people in these communities also know that TFA. Well, come one day, one week, one month, three months and then leave. And so a Black Lives Matter. The organization. And so now being told by Don Lemon. But even more. The Pew polls that your silence on this issue. Joe Biden. Well, you mention you’ve mentioned it once or twice in passing it as quickly as possible and that your party’s leadership in Congress, the outrageous comments about federal law enforcement, the outrageous hearing. When the attorney general appeared before the House Judiciary Committee, the American people are buying any of this. Of all races. They’re not buying any of this. And so what does Joe Biden do, puts out a video message today. And he thinks now that he’ll get in front of this and that you’ll believe him. And he puts it on Twitter. Cut one, go. What I saw in that video makes me sick. Once again, a black man, Jacob Blank, has been shot by the police in broad daylight. Let me just stop there. I don’t know why. Supporting due process and justice. It’s controversial. There was a time when a president, the United States would never talk like this, Democrat or Republican. And you have. Lawyer Crump, who shows up for all the the families, says these officers need to be arrested immediately. That’s not what we do in this country. Now, if these officers are proven to have done something wrong, they will be severely punished. Does anybody doubt that? Anybody have evidence to the contrary in these cases? But it reminds me these wild, wild west are these Old West movies, he’s black and white, where the mob shows up at the. At the jail and the sheriffs there, and they say turn them over, turn them over. To hang them now. Turn them over. You know, one of the things we learn from our history. Is that everybody deserves due process and justice. Everybody. And for people, famous people, iconic people, people in the media, people in sports, people all over the place. To be drawing conclusions from an eight to 10 second video and then another video comes out that provides a little bit more context. Is really appalling to me. And yet that’s what we have. So the country is racist. You’re to hear this, Doc Rivers, and he is celebrated all over ESPN. The country is racist. Enough is enough. As a result of this shooting, which he knows very little about and for which the entire country is guilty. Meanwhile, LeBron James is out their funding get out the vote efforts, meaning vote Democrat efforts, he doesn’t support Republicans. So get out the vote effort. You gotta vote. We’re against voter suppression. So he wants to elect more Democrats. Well, the Democrat runs the police force and Kenosha has a Democrat mayor. What is with this? He doesn’t say change parties. Get out and vote. No. He doesn’t say that. More on him later to. Go ahead with Biden, please. You know, I spoke to Jacob’s mom and dad, sister and other members of the family just a little bit earlier, and I told them justice must and will be done to know what justice must and will be done despite you. The FBI is on the scene. The U.S. attorney is on the scene. The attorney generals on the scene of the state. State prosecutors around the state. State investigators are on the scene. Everybody’s on the scene. Justice must be done, says Biden. Justice will be done. But that doesn’t mean these men get the electric chair. It means the facts have to be determined and the whole reason. For our Constitution, our Bill of Rights. The whole reason. For our criminal justice system is to ensure that the facts do come to the fore. And sometimes minorities or the defendants in shootings. And we want justice to apply in every case. Go ahead, I mean, especially his children. It’s horrible what they saw. Watching your father get shot like Gianna Floyd. They’re asking why? Why, Daddy, put yourself in the shoes of every one. What is the flood? They look. Each case is different. I don’t care what your races. People need to be treated as individuals. Each case, this isn’t a community thing or group thing. That’s not how it’s supposed to work. That’s not how it does work. Go ahead, mother, in this country and ask, is this what we want America to be? Is this the country we should be? You know, as I said, after George Slaughter’s murder, protesting brutality is a right and absolutely necessary. Now stop here. So he had a basically one sentence said he’s ever used maybe two in months to deal with the riding. Go ahead. But burning down communities is not protest. It’s needless violence. Violence that endangers lives. Violence that guts businesses and shutters businesses serve the community. That’s wrong. In the midst of this pain, the wisest words that I’ve heard spoken so far have come from Julia Jackson, Jacob’s mother. She looked at the damage done in her community and she said this, quote, This doesn’t reflect my son or my family. So let’s unite and heal. Do justice and the violence and end systemic racism. Yeah, that’s what she said. And the reason you have to quote her is because you can’t quote yourself. I’ll be right back.

Hour 1 Segment 4

You know, as I sit here and I look up the statistics, the FBI statistics, around 75, 100 every year, 70, 500 black people, mostly young men. Are slaughtered in our cities. 90 percent of the time by other young black men. I hear almost no talk about this. It is shocking to me. Shocking to me. Maybe I’ll ask Stephen A about this, too. I don’t know. We may not have enough time. But the point is, I don’t eat here. I don’t hear these these iconic athletes talking about it or Hollywood types or politician types. They don’t seem to have any answers to this. Now, this is slaughter. I want you to think about that. 70, 500 human beings. And get out the vote and elect more Democrats. Because we’re being suppressed at the ballot box. But when you’re voting for Democrats, 80, 90 percent of it ever given ethnic group or minority group, what’s being suppressed? And as I’ve pointed out before, it’s these communities that determine the voting standards. I’ll be right back.
