On Thursday’s Mark Levin Show: It’s important to look back at history and see what a true conservative is. In 1976 Ronald Reagan called for a new Republican Party and that’s exactly what we need now! A principled conservative can connect with Americans and win. Reagan was correct when he said we need to take our message to as many people as possible. We can’t rely on the media or schools to promote Conservatism – we have to inform ourselves and persuade others. Also, modern debates are influenced too much by moderators. They inject themselves into the process, acting more like journalists rather than timekeepers. We didn’t learn much from the first debate because of this, and won’t learn anything from future debates if this keeps up. Later, immigration was a different mindset before the rise of the welfare state; now we have a monstrous centralized system that is expanding and imploding at the same time. Finally, Mark is joined by Donald Trump to react to the first GOP debate and discuss his view on taxes, sanctuary cities and much more.
