Sarah Palin scares me. Facism is basically the consolidation of governing power by extra-legal cronyism. We saw the Bush Administration very cynically (relative to the Constitutional intent of our Republic) manipulate national intelligence departments by inserting the Vice President into the CIA, and by establishing the extra-legal Office of Special Plans inside DoD. I believe that Palin would take this kind of maneuvering to a new level, based on her record in Alaskan politics; she will convert voting blocs to her favor regardless of past alliance if the political wind changes. Laws and rights are mutable, even those that we consider Constitutionally sanctified, and the Bush Administration really demonstrated this. And add to that the American imperial imperative to keep purchase on biggest economic prizes worldwide, and we can't necessarily count on political opposition to overbearingly aggressive action. Militaristic foreign policy can be easily mirrored domestically by casual mores toward violence at home, and a decrease in thoughtfulness. I believe Sarah Palin as President would be the worst thing to happen to

Do you believe in 'Virgin Birth'?
Do you believe that a person once lived inside a 'big fish' and survived?
Do you believe that everybody, living and dead, will one day be resurrected?
If you answer YES to any such questions, you can also be quite EASILY hoodwinked into supporting the likes of Sarah Palin, or TheSavingsAndLoanCrook John McCain, for President of the

One political twist or scandal last fall, and this woman could be VP right now. If the economy doesn't pick up in a big way by 2012, she may be POTUS still. Consider how this blinkered woman might handle a serious crisis. Had she been in charge during the Cuban missile crisis,or the 1973 Arab/Israeli war, I would suggest that we would not be here right now to read or write this. At the very least, she could be easily led by neocon True Believers into an Iraq-type adventure, murdering thousands of human beings for no reason at all. At most... armageddon by proud, insular stupidity.

She likes to kill and inflict pain and this aspect of her personality has not been examined closely enough--the pictures of her with one of her children, a toddler at the time, kneeling next to a dying animal she had just killed illustrates exactly who she is. There was blood everywhere--and she was smiling that familiar arctic and demonic smile that frightened voters in the presidential election.

we really indeed we need worry about armed militias, paid assassins, corporate security forces which look like air cavalry, militarized municipal police. Without the Brown Shirts, Hitler could not have achieved the financial support of Wall Street and American Big Business, to have financed his Nazi takeover. The self-ordained ruling class, know that they cannot get power through the ballot, if elections are not rigged, they are now relying of direct bribes and if that does not work, terrorism and political and economic sabotage are next.

Palin is backed by all the racists currently hiding out in the Republican party. Ignorant, hateful un-american losers is the kindest way I can describe them. They may need another civil war beating to either get rid of them or send them back under the front porch with their 6 pit bulls.

I think it's entirely possible that Miss Sarah could become the Republican candidate in 2012. Since most of the "good old boys" can't seem to get through the day without their pants losing altitude, who else have they got? The people here in red meat country have an extreme hatred of Obama, and if he doesn't start pushing policies that help average Americans, even his base will be loathe to see him serve a second term.

The Palin crowd have guns and despite the fact that "Jesus was the first nonviolent revolutionary", to quote Stephen Stills, seems to have no difficulty in wanting to use them. My hope is that our military remembers who their Commander-in Chief is and our Secret Service remains vigilant. One thing is clear - fear and anger rule the Republican Party and the far right, or the far wrong.

I wouldn't vote for a Republican even if that was the only choice on the ballot. I would never vote for Sarah Palin even if she was the candidate of the Liberal Progressive Party. I am also ready to not vote for any Democrats either. It looks to me, more and more, like there is little difference between the Party of NO and Homer Simpson's Party of Doh!, the Democrats. The only difference I can see is that the Democrats take a couple of days longer than Republicans to collect bribes from lobbyists before they do what the corporations tell them.

Mr. Rich. You hit the nail on the head. The problem is not Palin, it's the anger she represents. The anger egged on every day by the Glenn Becks, Rush Limbaughs and Mark Levins of the world, who make their money precisely by rousing that anger. That anger can be dangerous. I don't think we have to worry that Palin will ever be president but we do need to worry about all that anger out there.

Surely all of us can relegate this self-centered, obtuse, inarticulate, over-indulged, ego-driven, delusional, little-talented babbler of a person to the obscurity she so richly deserves.

Oh my goodness! If I have to read anything else about this woman, I think I will vomit. If she is representative of anybody's choice for any office of power, we are sunk in this nation. She is dumb, totally self involved, uneducated, unable to think above a 5th grade level and obviously a lazy person as well.

Palin supporters, as I see it, fall into two groups: First, power brokers who would like to continue enriching themselves at our expense. Second, people who have the combined intelligence of a hockey puk and seem to enjoy being used as political fodder, even though they are adversely effected by the policies Palin supports, but too dam dumb to know the difference. Ignorance is bliss, or so they say!

The thought of Palin running for and, God forbid, winning the presidency scares me to death. Hopefully some unseen scandal will unfold that will completely finish her politically. She is an uneducated, vicious, hate mongering, divisive politician who is, through her agenda, inflaming the unstable gun-toting religious right wing.

It is unnerving that a person such as Sarah Palin, despite all her obvious limitations and bizarre behavior, still is popular with the Republican base. As Mr. Rich summed it up, "She puts a happy, sexy face on ugly emotions." And we all know too well those ugly emotions that gush from Limbaugh, Beck, Hannity, and others and are shared by an increasingly marginalized white middle class and working class base that we saw last year at McCain/Palin rallies.

[Republicans] don't mind if the GOP screws them, becauses it kisses them too; and now, look who stands to be the kisser-in-Chief! A dizzy skirt who tells plain-looking Republican women that they're just like her, and whom Republican men admire because she still looks "hot" after having 5 kids.
