On Tuesday’s Mark Levin show, It’s more important than ever to discuss the foundational principles of American civil society — and we need to fight back against the Left’s constant attacks on constitutional government and individual liberty. Liberty, individualism, and the history of the Bill of Rights and the Second Amendment are almost never discussed in the gun control debate. There are constant efforts under way to redefine this country and redefine what liberty means.The debate over guns isn’t a debate over guns. It’s the debate over liberty. Also, the socialist idea of Universal Basic Income is now supported by 48% of Americans. We now have more and more people who embrace socialism over capitalism. Can you imagine the economic impact of this? Can you imagine the control the government would have over the individual, who would rely almost one hundred percent for his or her sustenance from the government? Later, how is it that all great minds in history missed the fact of climate change? Only recently with the advent of the Bill Clinton and Al Gore administration that it suddenly became the case we had global warming. Over the last 40 years we have gone from global cooling to global warming to climate change and if you don’t buy into it you are a denier. The conceit of the left to believe that they have power to alter the Earth and universe is the same conceit they use to try control and alter characteristics of individual human beings. Finally, Rep Brian Mast is in a district in Florida which is Republican enough that he does not have to do what he is doing, which is trying to ban assault weapons. It is troubling but shows you what happens when people come to Washington. CNN’s Alisyn Camerota would never bring on a handicapped veteran who was in favor of the Second Amendment. The Mast interview with Camerota is disturbing because we now know there are other Republicans who are willing to defy their constituencies.
